The battle for the House is finally over.
Late Wednesday night, the GOP secured the majority.
Thanks to Rep. Mike Garcia (R-CA) defending his seat, Joe Biden is now a lame duck.

The GOP could still possibly add as many as four more seats to the total.
However, two to three seats are far more realistic.
Garcia, after winning, stated, “We’re focused on getting out the votes and sticking to our message which is focused on security, above all things, whether its national security, border security, but above all things right now economic security.
“This is what people care about, they don’t care about the drama the left is imparting on each other right now.
“They care about the economy.”
He continued, “The bottom line is people don’t like when you lie to them.
“This administration and the far-left have been lying to the American voters.”
His opponent, Christy Smith, thanked her staff on the way out the door.
She stated, “The results are not as we’d hoped [but] our team is grateful to every donor and every volunteer who was part of #TeamChristy.
“There is so much more work to be done to reach voters here who for too long haven’t seen the value of their vote.
“I know that work to ensure every voice – and every vote – is valued will continue in the hands of very dedicated local Democrats.
“I’m so proud of and forever grateful to my campaign team! Through this campaign we supported Black maternal health, foster youth, literacy, public health, our unhoused neighbors, victims of domestic violence and more. Never forget that leadership is the practice of making others successful and we all have a role to play.”
