GOP Senate Candidate Becomes Rising Star With THIS One Fiery Debate

During his debate with a career Democrat politician, a Republican Senate candidate and retired Navy captain became a rising star after he called out the failing recruitment strategy in the Navy — pointing out that using a drag queen in a recruitment ad was not recruiting the type of “people we want” in the U.S. military.

Virginia Senate candidate Hung Cao (R), who was commissioned as a Special Operations Officer (Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Deep Sea Diving) from the United States Naval Academy, became a rising star in the Republican Party after his stellar performance in his recent debate with incumbent Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), who was also the running mate for twice-failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016.

During the debate, Cao explained that his family fled from Vietnam and highlighted his experience joining the military to give back to America, the country that gave his family a chance at a good life — pointing out that illegal immigration is the exact opposite of his family’s experience.

“When Vietnam fell, we had nowhere to go, and America had brought us in and my parents waited in line for seven years — we all did, for seven years to get out citizenship,” Cao said in one viral exchange about illegal immigration. “The last thing that my dad had over his bed when he passed away two years ago was his naturalization certificate. I love this country so much that I wrote a blank check — up to and including my life — to defend it for 25 years in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, and other parts of the world.”

“Here’s my thing to anybody who wants to come here — don’t ask for an American dream if you’re not willing to follow American laws and embrace American culture,” he added. “If you come here illegally, then you need to leave, especially if you’re a violent [criminal].”

Meanwhile, one of the most popular moments from the debate was Cao’s evisceration of woke military policies.

“When you’re using a drag queen to recruit for the Navy, that’s not the people we want,” the Republican candidate said. “What we need is alpha males and alpha females who are going to rip out their own guts, eat them, and ask for seconds. Those are the young men and women who are going to win wars.”

Cao also lambasted his opponent for his failure as a senator, stating: “[Kaine] says what he’s going to do. Honestly, of the 227 bills that Senator Kaine has proposed, only three of them made it through… That’s a 99% failure rate.”

While Kaine tried to claim that Cao was “completely wrong” in his criticism, the GOP rising star fired back and earned some laughs with a fiery statement: “There’s two truths in the world, okay? Never walk into a target store wearing a red shirt and never go against an Asian when it comes to math. Trust me.”
