Fans at a recent Jason Aldean concert were in for quite a surprise as the star brought out a country music legend on stage. On Friday, October 13, while performing in Oklahoma City, Aldean introduced Toby Keith as a surprise guest.

This was an unforgettable moment that had everyone cheering and excited for the evening.

The two stars performed an energetic rendition of “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” Toby Keith’s first major hit. According to Country Now, upon introducing the 62-year-old country star, Jason Aldean said “There’s only one guy that you kinda think of when you come to Oklahoma City … make some noise for the Big Dawg Daddy, Toby Keith!”

Toby Keith has been battling stomach cancer and canceled all the shows he scheduled for 2022. In a late September interview with E! News, he said his health was “pretty good.” In October, he won the Country Icon Award at the People’s Choice Country Awards in Nashville where he thanked “the Almighty for allowing me to be here tonight.”

He also told Fox News that during this time faith had carried him through his cancer battle saying “I lean on my faith and I just pray and lean into it. You gotta do what you gotta do, and I don’t know how people do it without faith … that’s what I did, it was my rock.”

Next month Toby will be releasing “100% Songwriter,” a collection of 13 songs written by him alone. This project is sure to showcase his immense talent as both a performer and songwriter.

After making waves throughout his career with hits like “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” and now being honored with awards such as the Country Icon Award at the People’s Choice Country Awards in Nashville, we can only imagine what amazing things are soon to come from Toby Keith.
