There is a little friction starting to build between congressional Democrats and the White House.
Democrats are getting whiff of Joe Biden’s new immigration plan, and they are not happy.
So much so, Jeffries is openly calling out the agenda.
Playing Dumb
Jeffries played a little dumb, but he did lob a bomb at the White House.
He was being asked about the idea of Joe Biden starting to send asylum seekers back over the border.
This comes after Secretary Mayorkas met with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
That Caucus immediately went ballistic over the plan.
Jeffries stated, “With respect to communication, on the specifics of this issue, there was a conversation between the Homeland Security secretary and members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and, I believe, members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
“I haven’t been fully briefed on that meeting, so I’ll refrain from further comment until I hear from our members.”
He did, however, add, “It’s not clear to me that it is being considered.
“What is clear is that House Democrats overwhelmingly, if not uniformly, believe that family separation is not a policy that should be pursued.”
Biden better dig in because his party will be coming for him soon enough!
