Joe Biden’s State of the Union showed an overwhelmed man rehashing doomed policies that he couldn’t pass and was also packed with bold-faced lies. There was a lot of talk regarding Ukraine, yet had no further favorable action to provide. Yet while Biden talked a whole lot about Ukraine stating a whole lot of nothing, he failed to deal with the important things that he was meant to attend to in the speech– the state of the nation– and the things that were of greatest concern to Americans like the crushing inflation as well as the increasing gas costs. Harris had no responses, even basically saying that the reason we have a rising cost of living is that things cost a lot more. What great economic understanding there!
“Listen, people are struggling, especially working people in terms of the price of gas and food,” Harris agreed. “And the reasons include what we need to do to address what happened through the pandemic, in terms of supply chain issues, which was a reduction of the availability of goods, and so the prices went up. We also need to deal with one of the biggest issues – which is the cost of living. It’s too expensive for working families.”
Harris also confessed that individuals are struggling and that’s it’s expensive to live, even while Joe Biden is trying to convince everybody what a wonderful economic situation he’s brought us, and that it’s simply that Americans do not comprehend that yet. So, she’s cutting the legs out from under the Biden lie, acknowledging the situation is as bad as the American people recognize that it is.
Yet, Harris tossed out an additional word salad when she was asked about what the Biden team was most likely to do about energy concerns locally, and most importantly if Biden would cut off oil and gas imports from Russia.

Harris replied bafflingly: “As it relates to what we need to do domestically, as well as what we need to do in terms of this issue generally, we have, as the president said, reevaluated what we’re doing in terms of the strategic oil reserve here in the United States, to make sure it will not have an impact or that we can mitigate the impact on the American consumer.”
This is just more of a dog and pony show and not a remedy in all. Biden released 30 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. However, we use approx. 18 million a day. So, what does that amount for? A day and a half of America’s consumption? If the war escalates and also costs go nuts, what are they most likely to do? That may already be coming soon, as it’s currently hitting the highest prices since 2011 and could increase to five dollars a gallon nationally.
