Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) was “swatted” during the early morning of 8/24. Law enforcement surrounding the congresswoman’s home came after a unknown person filed an fake report of gun shots fired.

The Rome Police Department said in a statement that they are investigating after someone placed a 911 call and reported that a subject was shot multiple times at an address within city limits,
After police responded to the site, they discovered it was the congresswoman’s. Greene informed authorities that there was actually no concern. It was established that the call was a prank generally known as “swatting,” the police pointed out.
The Rome Police Department claims to have received a second 911 call from an individual who used “a computer generated voice” that stated they were concerned over Greene’s political views on transgender rights.
“The Rome Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is working in conjunction with the United States Capital Police on this investigation,” police said.
“This is an active investigation and no further information can be released at this time,” the department added.
Greene is a firebrand legislator known for creating extremely questionable comments. She has agitated the left through purposely opposing sex-change operations or cross-sex hormone prescriptions for gender-dysphoric minors.
A Spokesperson for Greene pointed out that safety was her workplace’s “first issue” after the knocking attack.
“Late last night, she was a victim of a political attack on her family and home. Whoever committed this violent crime will face the full extent of the law,” the spokesman told the Rome News-Tribune.
Many from the left has cast doubt on Greene’s story. Others ridiculed her as well as claimed she deserved to be harassed or questioned whether she staged the incident to “smear trans rights activists.”
