The rumors have been circulating for months, but now we finally have an answer.
Will Ivanka Trump be returning to politics in order to support her father’s run for the White House?
After four years of working in the White House alongside her father and husband Jared Kushner, there were rumors that she may return once more to help with her dad’s campaign for a second term.
However, it seems those rumors may have been greatly exaggerated – apparently, Ivanka is not planning on returning to politics this time around.
Readers will recall that Ivanka Trump’s mother, Donald Trump’s ex-wife Ivana Trump, died unexpectedly last July after suffering a fatal fall.
This tragic event caused Ivanka to reevaluate her life priorities and adjust accordingly.
One close friend told the New York Post, “I think losing a parent definitely leads to a real awakening…For Ivanka, it underscored how fleeting time is.”
Loved ones also noted that Ivana was always living life both personally and professionally with enthusiasm and passion, inspiring Ivanka to do the same.
Another source who spoke with The New York Post described Jared Kushner’s health scares during his time in the White House as another factor influencing their decision not to return: “Going into government changed the trajectory of all of their lives…They feel like it was an amazing, extraordinary chapter in their lives—but their exit was not triggered by one thing.”
In November during an exclusive interview with Fox News, Ivanka echoed these sentiments saying “I love my father very much. This time around I am choosing prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.”
In addition to honoring her mother’s memory by living life authentically and passionately like she did before passing away, another major factor playing into why Ivanka decided against getting back into politics is her children whom she wants spend more quality time with while they’re still young.
