The media just got a taste of what is going to be like when they get aggressive with new House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
I think they learned a quick lesson that McCarthy is not going to be a walkover, by any means.
When a reporter got snippy with McCarthy, he gave it right back and then some.
You Don’t Tell Me!
The reporter was asking about the committee assignments that McCarthy had rejected.
The reporter then transitioned over to talk about George Santos.
McCarthy tried to reply, “He got elected by his district…”
The reporter cut him off, stating, “That’s not an answer to my question.”
Then McCarthy went off, stating, “Let me be very clear and respectful to you.
“You asked me a question.
“When I answer it, it’s the answer to your question.
“You don’t get to determine whether I answer your question or not, okay? In all respect.”
