A lawsuit that had been filed against Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was recently settled.
The case was filed after Mr. Jorge Rojas, who had submitted his name to the Do Not Call registry, continued to receive more than a dozen texts from Pelosi’s campaign.
Pelosi settled the case for $7,500.
For the most part, the mainstream media either ignored or buried the story, but there is much more to this than just that coverup.
Pay Him Off
Pelosi decided not to take the case to trial, and it probably saved her campaign considerable cash.
Rojas has been seeking $31,500, but I am sure he is happy to get paid almost $360 per annoying text.
As I noted in the intro, this story went mostly unreported or was mentioned in passing, but there is far more to it than just the reporting aspect of the story.
I cannot recall ever hearing a case that went to the wall against a politician on this.
Now I could be wrong, but this could end up being a case that kicks open a door that needs to be kicked open.
If we all start going after these clowns for blowing up our phones on a daily basis, it may finally stop this nonsense from happening and financially crush their campaigns.
The more these cases are settled out of campaign money, the less likely people are to donate to them.
