Well, the Pentagon giveth, and the Pentagon taketh away.
We had some hope that the Pentagon would do the right thing.
That hope lasted about 24 hours.
Not Happening
Reports started to surface that the Pentagon was considering backpay for veterans who were discharged over the vaccine.
Pentagon spokesperson Maj. Charlie Dietz had stated, “All Service members and Veterans may apply at any time to the appropriate Discharge Review Board or Board for Correction for Military/Naval Records if they believe that there is an error or injustice in their records-to include those that were separated by the vaccine mandate.
“Regarding back pay, the Department is still exploring this and will provide its views on legislation of this nature at the appropriate time and through the appropriate process.”

We also know several Republicans are working on legislation packages that would also make that happen.
Well, as it turns out, it was all a tease.
About a day after the initial report broke, the Pentagon changed course…

Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryde stated, “Right now, we are not currently pursuing back-pay to service members who were dismissed for refusing to take the COVID vaccination.”
Just when you thought maybe, just maybe, our government would stop dumping on those that served, they take away the lollipop and smack them in the face again.
