Several polling stations in Georgia were evacuated on Tuesday morning after authorities received bomb threats targeted at the locations.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) has announced that the bomb threats were of “Russian origin” and confirmed that authorities do not believe the threats were credible.
“We’ve heard some threats that were of Russian origin,” Raffensperger said during a press conference on Tuesday morning. “I don’t know how to describe that that’s viable, we don’t think they are, but in the interest of public safety, you always check that out.”
“We’ll just continue to be very responsible when we hear about stuff like that,” he added. “We’ve identified the source and it was from Russia. They’re up to mischief it seems. They don’t want us to have a smooth, fair, and accurate election.”

At least five polling locations received bomb threats, though some reports indicate that the number of locations affected was seven. Two polling locations in Union City and Fulton County were forced to evacuate, according to Raffensperger.
The FBI has also issued a statement about the threats, confirming that several other states also received bomb threats at polling locations — including North Carolina and Maine.
“The FBI is aware of bomb threats to polling locations in several states, many of which appear to originate from Russian email domains. None of the threats have been determined to be credible thus far,” the bureau explained in the statement, which was posted on X.
“Election Integrity is among the FBI’s highest priorities. We will continue to work closely with our state and local law enforcement partners to respond to any threats to our elections and to protect our communities as Americans exercise their right to vote,” the FBI’s statement continued.

Conservatives on social media argued that these threats were actually coming from the radical left in an attempt to stop Trump supporters from voting.
“Yesterday I predicted the Left would use extreme measures to scare voters out of polling centers. Today there were 2 bomb threats in GA that shut [down] voting centers,” wrote conservative activist DC Draino. “Raffensberger is trying to blame Russia b/c he’s a lying RINO coward. We know who is trying to stop Republicans Georgia go vote! Don’t let them scare you!”

Meanwhile, the radical left is already blaming former President Donald Trump, claiming that “Trump is already getting help from Putin, again.”
