David DePape, accused of breaking into the home of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and attacking her husband Paul in the early morning hour of Oct. 28 is an illegal immigrant and an alleged child molester according to recent reports.
Bill Melugin of Fox News reported via Twitter Monday that according to his sources within the Department of Homeland Security, “David DePape, the suspect accused of beating Paul Pelosi in his home with a hammer after breaking in, is currently in the U.S. illegally as a ‘longtime’ visa overstay.”

According to The Daily Wire, citing court documents, DePape informed police after his arrest that he broke into the Pelosi home through a glass door using a hammer and found Paul Pelosi asleep and woke him.
DePape continued that he was there looking for Nancy Pelosi with the aim of taking her hostage and interrogating her.
“If Nancy were to tell DEPAPE the ‘truth,’ he would let her go, and if she ‘lied,’ he was going to break ‘her kneecaps,’” court documents said.
“DEPAPE was certain that Nancy would not have told the ‘truth.’ In the course of the interview, DEPAPE articulated he viewed Nancy as the ‘leader of the pack’ of lies told by the Democratic Party. DEPAPE also later explained that by breaking Nancy’s kneecaps, she would then have to be wheeled into Congress, which would show other Members of Congress there were consequences to actions.”
The suspect then added that when both men went downstairs, the police arrived and knocked on the door, Pelosi “ran over and opened it.”
The court documents revealed, “Pelosi grabbed onto DEPAPE’s hammer, which was in DEPAPE’s hand,” continuing “At this point in the interview, DEPAPE repeated that DEPAPE did not plan to surrender and that he would go ‘through’ Pelosi. DEPAPE stated that he pulled the hammer away from Pelosi and swung the hammer towards Pelosi. DEPAPE explained that Pelosi’s actions resulted in Pelosi ‘taking the punishment instead.’”
The reporting from Fox News and The Daily Wire state that DePape was Canadian-born, and described as “a troubled transient and nudist with extreme political views,” as The Daily Wire wrote.
The Daily Mail also reported that a woman claiming to be DePape’s daughter also alleged that he molested her and her brothers while they were children.
