Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert threatened to take legal action against an anti-Republican radical PAC that implicated her of formerly working as a paid escort and having 2 abortions.

Boebert’s attorney wrote to American Muckrakers PAC threatening to take legal action against the group for “civil defamation.”

The American Muckrakers PAC, which had actually formerly targeted Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC), dripped a series of salacious videos of Cawthorn prior to his main defeat in May, is the source of the charges.

Here’s what Boebert said in a statement to Fox News on Wednesday:

Partisan organizations putting out blatantly false and disgusting accusations won’t stop me from advancing freedom and conservative values.”

“This political committee, funded by far-left Democrat donors and run by two left-wing political operatives, published pages of false statements knowing they were completely fabricated,” she added.

“The law on this type of defamation is clear and this conduct will be subject to civil and criminal penalties. Attached is a letter from my attorney introducing our response to these lies,”she continued.

According to a letter acquired by Fox News from attorney Jonathan Anderson, the PAC made “a series of false and defamatory allegations” regarding Boebert.

“While muckrakers has marketed itself as a ‘watchdog group,’ the truth is that Muckrakers is a political committee that exclusively opposes conservative candidates, is funded by established Democrat donor sources, and is managed by Democrat political operatives,” Anderson stated.

“This political committee, funded by far-left Democrat donors and run by two left-wing political operatives, published pages of false statements knowing they were completely fabricated,” she continued. “The law on this type of defamation is clear and this conduct will be subject to civil and criminal penalties. Attached is a letter from my attorney introducing our response to these lies.”

He stated that they have “irrefutable evidence” that the assertions are “patently false,” and that Muckrakers broadcasted the “outlandish” claims in spite of understanding they were false due to the fact that it felt that assaulting a public individual “would not bring legal liability.”

This will be a costly miscalculation for Muckrakers, Wheeler and Muckrakers’ donors,” Anderson said, referring to David Wheeler, the PAC’s co-founder.
