She Was Rescued with the Hatchet Still Stuck in Her Head

When Lisa Rogers Eaton was rescued by first responders, the hatchet was still protruding from her head. Initially listed in “stable” condition, her status was just updated unfavorably. The family of the 56-year-old St. Petersburg, Florida, resident has gathered by her side. The prognosis isn’t promising as doctors expect to remove her from life support. Her attacker, Michael Doughtery, age 40, is in custody. Arrested 150 miles away from the scene.

Woman hacked with hatchet

Deputies responding to “a call about an attempted murder” arrived to discover the victim with “a hatchet protruding from her head.” Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the gruesome act of horrific violence left Lisa Eaton on death’s doorstep.

The incident happened at the Silver Lake Mobile Home Park in St. Petersburg just after 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, November 22.

The hatchet wielding killer was reportedly “staying with” Ms. Eaton and her husband. He fled the scene before officers arrived. They caught up with him “150 miles away from the scene.

For now, he’s been charged with attempted murder. That might be upgraded at any time. The “woman’s family prepared to take her off life support Saturday.

According to the victim’s sister, Donna Voye, “family and friends” were gathering to “be with Eaton to pray and say their goodbyes to the woman.

The thing they will remember most about her is that she would “help anybody.” Including her hatchet hacking assailant. “She’ll give you anything you want.” That included allowing Michael Doughtery “to stay with her and her husband after he lost his job.

Family ‘don’t understand it’

The whole family is in complete shock, they can’t even imagine what she went through when he came at her with the hatchet. “We don’t understand it,” Voye relates. “We can’t understand it because she wouldn’t hurt anybody. No family should ever get a call like we got telling us that or them that their family member is brutally attacked as our little sister was.

Doughtery ran but didn’t run fast enough to avoid detectives. They “later tracked him down near Gainesville.

An alert Alachua County deputy pulled Doughtery over just before 3 a.m. Thursday morning. The alleged hatchet hacker was taken into custody and hauled off to the Alachua County jail for processing.

He’s expected to be transferred to Pinellas County Jail until he sees a judge. There hasn’t been any information on whether he has an attorney. Bail isn’t expected to be granted lightly.

The recent rash of brutal common household object attacks and vehicle mass murders underscores the flaw in liberal logic. Background checks and waiting periods should apply to each and every hatchet, hammer or car purchase, Democrats aren’t screaming. Society itself has devolved into lawless anarchy as our once great Republic crumbles around our ears in favor of modern “progressive” globalism.

What’s happening today in America is all because of decisions made in Brussels, Belgium, by Klaus Schwab and his acolytes of the New World Order and their Agenda 2030. This remains an active investigation as well as a developing story. Check back for updates when more details are released.
