For the second time this week, Joe Biden has lost one of his top officials.

Brian Deese, another Obama holdover, has left his position as a top economic adviser to Biden.

No replacement has been named as of yet.

Heading Out

Rumors of Deese’s departure have been going on for months, and they have finally come to fruition.

Upon his departure, Biden stated, “He has helped steer my economic vision into reality, and managed the transition of our historic economic recovery to steady and stable growth.

“Brian’s work was critical to the passage of the most significant economic agenda in generations: the American Rescue Plan, which brought our economy back from the brink; the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the most significant investment in our nation’s infrastructure in generations; the CHIPs and Science Act, which ensures we make more high-end technology here at home so we can outcompete the world; and the Inflation Reduction Act, which is giving millions of families breathing room, investing in clean energy manufacturing, and addressing the climate crisis.”

This week, Ron Klain, Biden’s original Chief of Staff also resigned.

Klain’s position has been filled by Jeff Zients, a corrupt health care investor who is now doing his second turn with Biden.

Zients was on Biden’s COVID team when he first took over the office.

He also happens to have a firm that is tied to two companies that were fined more than $160 million for Medicare and Medicaid fraud.

So, I guess he will fit in perfectly with this administration.
