The reaction to Donald Trump’s CNN Town Hall has been all over the place.
His surrogates and supporters say the election is over after that performance.
His detractors say he just proved why he cannot be permitted to win the election or nomination.
After letting it cool for a couple of days, Trump finally chimed in.
Did the Right Thing
As far as Trump is concerned, appearing on CNN was the right thing to do.
The town hall drew more than three million viewers, which was a huge boost to the network.
Trump stated, “I was happy to do it.
“I got the word out to millions of people that would generally not hear this point of view concerning things such as the border, inflation, the economy, energy independence, the Afghanistan catastrophe and more.
“I think CNN did the right thing by putting me on—all you have to do is look at their fantastic ratings.
“It was an honor to do it.”
He also posted on Truth Social, stating, “People are criticizing CNN for giving me a Forum to tell the TRUTH.
“I believe it was a very smart thing that they did.
“It was by far the biggest Show of the night, the week, and the month!”
But did it lure in more voters that will now support Trump because that is the only stat that matters.
