Outrage as Marine Denied Religious Exemption and Forced Behind Bars

The U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) has gone too far in punishing former Lance Corporal Catherine Arnett for refusing to comply with their COVID-19 jab mandate.

Arnett joined the USMC in 2018, looking for discipline and structure in her life. After basic training, she moved on to combat training and instruction in her military occupational specialty (MOS). Eventually, she began working as a travel reimbursement processor for the Defense Travel System at Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 in Iwakuni, Japan, and achieved the rank of lance corporal.

In August 2021, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin released a military-wide COVID jab mandate that reached Arnett’s base in Japan by September. Marines on base were told, “if you don’t have the jab by November, we’re going to process you out.”

Arnett had done research into the experimental vaccines and concluded that getting them was unlawful and wrong due to her religious beliefs regarding the use of fetal tissue derived from aborted babies used during the development of the shots.

“I had religious grounds, legal grounds, administrative grounds, personal grounds. I just wasn’t going to get it,” she said.

She submitted a religious accommodation request citing her beliefs and objections but still received orders to leave because of her refusal to be vaccinated.

Unlike many who agreed to leave, Arnett refused – believing that separation was unlawful if it was based on something she wasn’t legally obligated to do.

As punishment for not complying with orders or reporting to the separation center, she was sent to “the brig,” stripped of automatic pay, restricted from leaving the base for 30 days; court-martialed twice; denied access temporarily from Defense Travel System; referred for administrative separation three times; and now faces federal charges for trespassing all due solely to her refusal of the vaccine!

Fortunately, in April 2022, a federal judge ruled that service members could not be administratively separated if they requested exemptions from the mandate based on religious grounds. This allowed Arnett one year extension before another attempt at separation could be made against her.

However, this month USMC tried again claiming she forged documents when resubmitting an authorization form already signed by her commander with an updated date after being denied access without explanation – leading to yet another round of punishment despite having successfully completed her job duties previously acknowledged by said commander via email!

This is unacceptable behavior coming from our nation’s highest military leaders! To punish someone so harshly just because they disagree with mandatory vaccination is wrong no matter how you look at it – especially considering there are alternatives available such as natural immunity-boosting methods or taking part in clinical trials instead!

It’s time USMC stops bullying those who refuse their mandates and focus instead on finding ways more beneficial both medically & financially than forcing vaccines upon everyone regardless of personal convictions or beliefs!
