Ron DeSantis has yet to announce his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election.
Donald Trump has been pouncing, looking to gobble up as many Florida endorsements as he can.
The latest endorsement was not a Florida politician, but it is going to sting DeSantis pretty hard.

When Lee Zeldin was running for governor in New York, DeSantis traveled north to campaign for him.
It gave Zeldin a considerable bump.
There is also the fact that Zeldin was among those clamoring for a change within the party for new, dynamic candidates.
So, what does he do… he backs off his stance on that and endorses Donald Trump.
With his influence in New York, this would have been huge for DeSantis, but instead, it is just a crushing loss for him politically.
Zeldin broke the news this week, stating, “The GOP is filled with amazing talent to save our country from the failed policies of the Biden Admin.
“Our nominee in 2024 will be the 45th & 47th POTUS, Donald Trump.
“Our economy will be stronger, our streets will be safer, & our lives will be freer. He has my full support!”
Trump keeps stockpiling these endorsements, and it shows in the polling, but we will get a much better idea where everyone stands next month once DeSantis formally announces his campaign.
