I usually do not watch the hearings on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, but I had an inkling this one could be good.
Republicans had Interior Secretary Deb Haaland teed up and with Hawley on this committee, I figured he would go after her about China and mining.
But I honestly had no idea it would go down like this.
Did You Know?
Most of Biden’s top players come to these committee hearings without the information they should have in front of them.
Haaland was no different.
Now, this is by design, as they are hoping the committee member will have not have it either.
This has not worked out well for them in the past, and it did not go well here for Haaland.
The big push for green energy by this administration could be a windfall for certain states in this country, but Biden is now protecting those areas from being mined.
This, in turn, makes us more reliant on China.
Shockingly, when Haaland was asked who the number one exporter of the minerals we need was, she had no clue…
Haaland also made a statement about there being too many jobs in this country, so don’t sweat the jobs that are being lost by shutting down the mining industry in this country.
Well, that really causes Hawley to go off on her.
I have both exchanges in the videos below so grab your coffee and a cookie, and enjoy!
