There is a major development in the 2024 election that is going to pay off hugely for Trump.
Nikki Haley has had a massive surge in recent polling, pulling to within just two to three points of Ron DeSantis.
This dramatically changed how most people thought this race would play out.
Big Moves
Just last month, Haley was almost an afterthought, sitting with only five percent.
In the most recent polling, however, she has surged to 10 points, now only three points behind DeSantis.
Ramaswamy is fading fast, as people have finally caught on to his grift.
Most of the people that I follow were convinced that Haley and DeSantis would team up before South Carolina, but if Haley continues to surge, that will probably not happen.
If Haley is in the election, she will likely win South Carolina, then put pressure on Ron DeSantis to drop out instead of her, which is a dream scenario for Donald Trump.
The longer Haley and DeSantis both stay in, the more likely Trump is to get the nomination.
There is a downside to this for Trump, however.
With Haley surging, she is taking the support directly from Ramaswamy, who we suspect will throw his support behind Trump.
If you combine the numbers, Trump would be around 66 percent, but a DeSantis-Haley or Haley-DeSantis ticket would be around 31.
While it is still a lead, both Haley and DeSantis are polling fairly well in the early voting stats, which means that the combined ticket could be dead even with Trump coming out of South Carolina and heading into Super Tuesday.
Hold on, folks, because this race is just getting started!
