American family members of the victims of the horrific October 7 Hamas terror attacks in Israel have filed a lawsuit against the radical Al Jazeera Media Network, as the outlet has repeatedly defended and allegedly directly supported Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).
The Jerusalem Post obtained a copy of the lawsuit, which reportedly accuses Al Jazeera of knowingly aiding Hamas and PIJ terrorists by providing an international platform for terrorist propaganda, recruitment, and incitement to violence.

The lawsuit also alleges that the Qatar-based outlet outright hires terrorists as “journalists” and even pays terrorists for interviews. The lawsuit directly accuses Al Jazeera of hiring Hamas and PIJ operatives, many of whom took part in the October 7 terror attacks, as “journalists.”
Al Jazeera is also being accused of glorifying terrorists, inciting violence, and directly financially supporting Hamas and PIJ terrorists.
The lawsuit cites Al Jazeera’s exclusive interviews with Hamas leaders, including those who have orchestrated attacks against American and Israeli civilians, as evidence of their claims.

The plaintiffs allege that all of Al Jazeera’s support for terrorists directly contributed to the orchestration of the October 7 massacre, in which Hamas killed more than 1,200 people, injured thousands, and kidnapped at least 250 people.
One of the plaintiffs is Morris Schneider, family member of Shiri Bibas and her two sons, four-year-old Ariel and nine-month old Kfir, who were all murdered by Hamas terrorists.
“The brutal murder of Shiri, Kfir, and Ariel by Gaza terrorists is an unspeakable atrocity that has shattered our family forever,” Schneider said in a statement. “The kidnapping and killing of toddlers is beyond comprehension. While no lawsuit can erase our pain, we are determined to seek justice and hold those responsible accountable.”
Israeli attorney Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, the president of Shurat Hadin, one of the legal groups working on the case, also issued a statement about the lawsuit.
“Terrorist organizations require financial support, logistical networks, and media outlets to further their agenda,” she said. “The evidence shows Al Jazeera has acted as an accomplice to Hamas and PIJ, promoting their ideology and enabling their operations.”

The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia under the U.S. Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), which allows American victims of terrorism to sue for damages from actors who provide support to terrorist organizations.
