Democrat Mayor Rolando Salinas of Eagle Pass, Texas has been forced to declare a state of emergency in response to the unprecedented surge of migrants. And unlucky for Biden, Salinas had a few negative things to say about the president and his lack of care and consideration for this ever-growing migrant crisis.
Mayor Rolando Salinas recently spoke to CNN about his concerns and blamed President Biden for the crisis.
According to Salinas, the federal government has “abandoned” them and he hasn’t heard anything from anyone in the administration. This influx of illegal immigration is being seen all across the US-Mexico border and it’s not fair to those who come legally according to Salinas.

The number of migrant encounters at the southern US-Mexico border was 232,972 in August alone – that’s the highest figure ever recorded for that month as well as for any calendar year. With numbers like these it’s easy to see why people are concerned about unchecked illegal immigration into our country.
It puts a huge strain on local resources which can have serious consequences such as overcrowding in detention centers or even worse – putting undocumented immigrants into already vulnerable communities where they can easily become victims of crime or exploitation by criminals operating outside of law enforcement jurisdiction.
Furthermore, there are economic costs associated with illegal immigration such as increased welfare spending or taxes that go towards providing services for these individuals who often do not contribute financially back into society through taxes or other means – making them a financial burden on taxpayers instead of a benefit.
Mayor Salinas made it clear that he believes President Biden should enforce existing immigration laws rather than allowing more people to enter illegally without consequence.
He also noted that those who come here legally have gone through a process which often includes significant financial investment and waiting periods – something which is not available to those entering illegally thus creating an unfair playing field between those two types of immigrant populations.
