Joe, you are so bad and so divisive, I am leaving the Democrat Party.
Those were not the words uses by Senator Sinema (I-AZ) in her notice that she left the Democrat Party and registered as an independent, but they could have been.
Sinema dropped the bombshell, and now the White House is trying to do damage control.
Same or Different
Sinema is expected to caucus with the Democrats, so this will not impact their majority in the Senate.
Sinema stated, “I don’t anticipate that anything will change about the Senate structure.
“I intend to show up to work, do the same work that I always do. I just intend to show up to work as an independent.”
The White House worded its reply very carefully so as not to upset her and lose her as an ally.
It stated, “We understand that her decision to register as an independent in Arizona does not change the new Democratic majority control of the Senate, and we have every reason to expect that we will continue to work successfully with her.”
I have already seen reports that the GOP wants to recruit her, but that is a massive mistake.
Let her do her thing as in independent, and let her run for re-election as an independent.
If she does that, she splits the liberal vote in AZ and the GOP walks away with her seat.
We don’t need the castoffs from the Democrat Party. We need young MAGA candidates that know they are there to represent We the People, not push their own agenda.
