New York Dems and others suffering from COVID mass hysteria are howling after a federal judge ruled September 21st to extend a ban on Governor Kathy Hochul’s executive order mandating vaccination for all healthcare workers in the state with absolutely no exceptions on penalty of termination. The initial restraining order issued Sep. 14th has now been pushed back two more weeks, allowing health care and long term care workers in New York who are seeking exemption on religious grounds to remain in the jobs until at least October 12th, while the court hears arguments from the Thomas More Society representing the plaintiff Doctors, nurses and medical professionals and the State’s attorneys.
According to The Daily Wire,
“The Thomas More Society argued that the mandate “attempts to nullify protections for sincere religious beliefs granted under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, even though days earlier the state of New York had afforded protection for religious beliefs in its prior health order.”
The Case That Is Threatening Dems Power Grab
Thomas More Society Attorney and Special Counsel Christopher Ferrara deemed the vaccination mandate “a brazen power grab by people who think they can get away with anything.”
According to WHEC,
“Four are from Western New York. Sixteen of them are Catholic. One is Baptist. And in their complaint, it says “it would be a violation of their deeply held religious beliefs and moral consciences to take any of the available COVID-19 vaccines given their use of abortion-derived fetal cell lines in testing, development, or production.”
“What New York is attempting to do is slam shut an escape hatch from an unconstitutional vaccine mandate,” he argued. “And they are doing this while, knowing that many people have sincere religious objections to vaccines that were tested, developed, or produced with cell lines derived from aborted children.”
“These plaintiffs are not – I repeat – not anti-vaxxers, as the fake news media calls them,” the attorney stressed. “They are in fact in favor of voluntary vaccination with informed consent, but they oppose jack-booted coercion by the state to take a vaccine their religion forbids them to take. This is America, not Red China.”
Before the initial court order which stayed the New York mandate Ferrara warned the court,
“Without court intervention, these health professionals face loss of occupation, professional status, and employability anywhere in the state of New York. All because of an abortion-connected vaccine, one that they cannot take in good conscience.”
