Top Democratic Senator Comes Out Against Biden

West Virginia’s centrist Democrat Senator Joe Manchin infuriated His Imperial Wisdom Joe Biden Thursday night, with a statement promising to strongly oppose heavy-handed vaccine mandates. “In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and as the new Omicron variant emerges, I will not vote to shut down the government for purely political reasons.” He means the “[Nu- Xi-] Omicron” variant. The experts skipped a couple Greek letters for some strange reason.

Senator takes a stand

Senator Manchin already has Biden furious because of his holdout of approval on the Build Back Better pork extravaganza.

According to the DINO centrist, there’s way “too much at stake for the American people.” He wants to be crystal clear. “I do not support any government vaccine mandate on private businesses.”

He went ahead and voted yes on an extension of the government shutdown, kicking the can down the road to February 18, 2022. The senator drew a line in the sand over forced injections, though.

“That’s why I have cosponsored and will strongly support a bill to overturn the federal government vaccine mandate for private businesses.” He would prefer an encouraging carrot instead of a punishing stick.

“I have long said we should incentivize, not penalize, private employers whose responsibility it is to protect their employees from COVID-19.” The point the senator makes is a good one. It’s the employers with the responsibility, not the imperial palace.

If it needs to be under some municipal management, that should happen at the state level. He’s also sure to point out that encouraging compliance is a lot better than forcing it. “I have personally had both vaccine doses and a booster shot and I continue to urge every West Virginian to get vaccinated themselves.”

Congressional review act

Senator Manchin really cheesed off his fellow Democrats when he signed off as co-sponsor to lawmaker Fred Keller’s proposal. Thanks to the DINO’s assist, the Pennsylvania Republican boasts that “his legislation to nullify President Joe Biden’s US vaccine mandate has gained bipartisan support.”

Because of Manchin, the Congressional Review Act “is likely to pass in the Senate as soon as next week.”

Besides Senator Manchin, the bill has 206 cosponsors and promises to “nullify the mandate for private employers with over 100 workers.” Republicans have been vocal in their disapproval of Biden’s Big Brother Gestapo tactics.

“If both houses of Congress approve the resolution by a simple majority and it is signed by the president — or if both chambers override a presidential veto — the rule would be invalidated.”

Republican Senator Mike Braun also went on the record to note “Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate for private businesses is not a partisan issue: it jeopardizes the freedoms and livelihoods of Americans in all 50 states.”

He hopes more Democratic Senators and Representatives will follow Manchin’s “strong lead and stand up against this federal overreach that will wreak havoc on our recovering economy and trample on the rights of millions of Americans.”
