Newly released video footage, filmed by Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives has revealed the disconcerting events that took place in Pelosi’s office as rioters approached the Capitol building.
The video which was obtained exclusively by CNN from Pelosi’s daughter, documentary filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi, was aired on Thursday after what may amount to be the final hearing of the Jan. 6th Committee.
According to The New York Post, the clip begins with Speaker Pelosi in her office watching Trump delivering his speech at the Save America Rally on the other side of the National Mall approximately two miles away.
“I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard today,” Trump said in his speech.

“Today we will see whether Republicans stand strong for [the] integrity of our elections, but whether or not they stand strong for our country, our country. Our country has been under siege for a long time, far longer than this four-year period.”
Pelosi’s Chief of Staff Terri McCullough is heard telling her that the Secret Service had convinced the then-President not to march to the Capitol building with the protestors.
Pelosi astonishingly answered, “I hope he comes; I’m going to punch him out. I’ve been waiting for this, for trespassing on the Capitol grounds. I’m going to punch him out. And I’m going to jail, and I’m going to be happy.”
“It’s very dangerous, what he’s doing,” Pelosi added. “Tell him if he comes here, we’re going to the White House.”

Later as the protest transformed into a riot, Pelosi told the governor of Virginia Terry McAuliffe via phone “They’re breaking the law in many different ways,” Pelosi says. “And quite frankly, much of it at the instigation of the president of the United States.”
Most interesting in the entire exchange is the comment from Pelosi when she said, “I’ve been waiting for this,” when this is considered alongside Trump’s assertions that Pelosi refused to call up the National Guard as he had strongly recommended she do three days earlier on January 3, 2021.
Trump noted to Fox News that the Jan. 6th committee “never covered the important subject of election fraud, or why Pelosi and the mayor of D.C. did not call up the National Guard — which I strongly recommended.”
Wouldn’t Pelosi’s comments seem to indicate that she indeed was “waiting for this,” that she as the ultimate authority on the security of the Capitol was fully aware of what could happen with so many protestors so close by and passions as high as they were… and deliberately chose not to act?
Because why would she? Why would any Democrat? January 6th gave them everything they could possibly want.
