Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) hosted a press event in Milwaukee on June 28th where the mother of 13-year-old Maddie de Garay, Stephanie testified on her daughter’s behalf regarding her nightmarish experience that followed her second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine trial she volunteered for. Mrs. de Garay’s testimony is heart-wrenching, as her daughter sits beside her doing her best to keep a brave face.
“Adverse effect of vaccine initial encounter.”

According to The Epoch Times, Mrs. de Garay told Senator Johnson and the assembled press,
“My husband works in the medical field, and I have a degree in electrical engineering, We are pro-vaccine and pro-science, which is why we agreed to let Maddie and her two older brothers volunteer for the trial.”
Stephanie de Garay’s written testimony is available at C19VaxReactions.com, within it she describes the radical change for the worse Maddie suffered nearly immediately upon her second dose of the trial vaccine.
“She received her second dose on 1/20/21. She had immediate pain at the injection site which didn’t happen with the first dose. About 18 hours after receiving the vaccine, she developed the following: severe muscle/nerve pain, painful electrical shocks down her neck and spine which caused her to walk hunched over, severe chest pain that felt like her heart was being pulled out, numbness and swelling in her vaccine arm (left), her fingers and toes turned white and were ice cold to the touch, the pain in her toes was so bad she walked on her heels, severe abdominal pain (especially on lower right side) and a fever of 101.4.
We were instructed to take her to the ER at our Children’s Hospital where they did an ultrasound to check for appendicitis. The results showed there wasn’t any sign of appendicitis even though the appendix could not be visualized or the right kidney, her bladder appeared normal and a note that there was a diffuse gaseous filled bowel seen throughout the right lower quadrant.”
Maddie was sent home after an IV, with Tylenol and Zofran. But from there Maddie de Garay’s condition began to deteriorate alarmingly.
“Over the next 2.5 months her severe abdominal pain along with the muscle and nerve pain persisted plus she new symptoms including fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, regurgitation of food and eventually the inability to swallow food or liquids, itchy rash on her arms, peeling skin on her feet, unexplained painful cysts on her vagina and then head, tinnitus, vision problems, headaches, dizziness, erratic blood pressure and heart rate, memory loss, brain fog, verbal and motor tics, fainting/seizures (10+ a day), loss of feeling from the waist down then paralysis of her legs, inability to walk, muscle weakness, abnormal gait, gastroparesis, urinary retention, anxiety, and medical PTSD..
Additionally she started her first menstrual cycle on 2/5/21 which continued off and on for over a month with clumps of blood and then off and on spotting until 4/13/21 and nothing since then. Between 1/21/21 and 4/9/21 we had to take her to the ER nine (9) times and she was admitted to the hospital 3 times. In between hospital visits she has seen multiple specialists at the Hospital and had Physical Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with no improvement, instead she continued to decline..”
From here the care which was given to Maddie, or the lack thereof as described by her mother began to take on an alarmingly similar character to what the Nation bore witness to in the terrifying 2014 case of Justina Pelletier v. Boston Childrens’ Hospital.
“After several desperate calls to multiple doctors expressing our concern for her declining health and more ER trips we finally got help from our new Care Coordinator to have neurology guarantee she would be admitted if we went to the ER on 4/9/21. When she got to the ER on 4/9/21 she could not walk, was unable to feel or move below her waist, had tachycardia and her blood sugar was at 47.
Once she was stable they admitted her to neurology and then transferred her to Inpatient Rehabilitation on 4/13/21. As of today, 5/24/21, she is finally close to being able to walk without a walker but she still has an abnormal gait. She also still has an NG tube for nutrition and continued problems with urination and gastroparesis, not to mention the PTSD from this experience with doctors, especially in the ER and Pfizer Vaccine Trial, doubting her and treating her like a mental patient. Right now every Wednesday and Friday, she has to meet specific PT goals. If she is unable to reach these goals, she will be discharged to follow-up outpatient primarily with Pain, GI, Adolescent, and psychology. If she is to be discharged, outpatient will focus much more on mental health.”
Then Stephanie’s testimony took a hard left turn into the decidedly terrifying and deeply reminiscent territory of the Pelletier case: when the medical establishment seems to get frustrated and starts throwing around ‘mental health’ explanations with threatening implications.
“My daughter has gone from being a typical healthy 12-year-old girl who worried about doing well in school and loved hanging out with friends to being so ill she had to miss 4 months of school. She has been in the hospital for almost 2 months total where she celebrated her 13th birthday. She is the strongest person I know and I am so proud of her for pushing through this nightmare and never giving up.
There is no doubt in my mind that the vaccine caused this. All of these medical problems started less than 24 hours after the second dose of the Pfizer covid vaccine and did not just go away within 72 hours like they say.
She was not forced to do the vaccine trial, she asked to do it along with her 2 brothers so she could help get our world back to normal.
The only diagnosis we have been given is Functional Neurological Symptom Disorder with mixed presentation, acute episode in which the vaccine was likely the trigger, no explanation as to why the vaccine triggered it.
They have dismissed her having repetitive abnormal blood work and that she has had blood in her urine countless times over the past 4 months, even with a catheter. ”
If your jaw didn’t drop at that last sentence… this last segment is a killer.
“Once she was given the Functional Neurological Disorder diagnosis they stopped any further testing that could and should have been done and any new doctors already had a bias from reading her medical record.”
She is not even close to being functional and that is with over a month of top-notch inpatient rehabilitation which has included PT/OT/Recreational Therapy/Music Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. ”
The de Garay’s didn’t come to the press conference to beg for alms or ask for any unusual consideration for their daughter’s treatment, they made what they want extremely clear: “All we want is for Maddie to be seen, heard, and believed, because she has not been. And we want her to get the care that she desperately needs so she can go back to normal again,”
Pfizer Denies Maddie’s Case Is Related To The Trial
In a statement replying to The Epoch Times, Pfizer has denied that Maddie’s condition is related to their vaccine,
“Pfizer and the vaccine clinical trial investigator each independently evaluated this case and concluded that it is not related to the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. The information about the case has been shared with health authorities.”
Senator Johnson also shared another damning piece of data in what three Wisconsin Doctors from the left-leaning Committee to Protect Health Care called “a misinformation campaign” according to Fox6. According to Epoch Times, he presented data from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).
“As of June 18, VAERS received 384,270 reports of adverse events and 4,812 reports of fatalities among Americans who had gotten a COVID-19 vaccine.” with the caveat that VAERS is known to capture less than 1% of adverse events due to underreporting and doesn’t always indicate vaccination as the cause of the adverse reaction. They further noted that among the 150 sum million Americans who have been fully vaccinated, “The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that 750 fully vaccinated patients have died of COVID-19, and 3,907 patients have been hospitalized as of June 21.”
According to the MedecineNet, Informed Consent is “The process by which a patient learns about and understands the purpose, benefits, and potential risks of a medical or surgical intervention, including clinical trials, and then agrees to receive the treatment or participate in the trial. Informed consent generally requires the patient or responsible party to sign a statement confirming that they understand the risks and benefits of the procedure or treatment.”
One really must ask: with all of the pressure on the American people to submit to vaccination for COVID19 and so much information being censored, suppressed, and buried. Are any of us even capable of truly informed consent?
