A massive explosion at a North Carolina home owned by Tennessee Titans defensive back, Caleb Farley, has left one individual dead and another injured.

The Iredell County Fire Marshal’s Office spokesperson Kent Greene confirmed that the deceased victim was Farley’s father, Robert Farley.

According to TMZ Sports, reports state that Farley had recently purchased the Mooresville property which was leveled overnight Monday.

Fortunately, Caleb himself escaped unharmed with an investigation ongoing into natural gas lines being the likely cause of the incident.

Local news outlets reported seeing Caleb onsite Tuesday cooperating with police as he is currently placed on physically unable-to-perform list due to a back injury.

The Daily Caller reached out to the Iredell County Fire Marshal’s Office for comment on this tragedy but there has been no response yet.

In his short career as a cornerback for the Tennessee Titans team, Farley has 14 comb tackles, 13 solo tackles and one PD interception under his belt already.

This shocking event will surely have an impact on not only Caleb but also his teammates who have come to know him over his short time in professional football.
