One of the most powerful Democrats in the Senate has just rapped Joe Biden in the knuckles.
Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) was a little disappointed in how Biden handled the classified documents.
Durbin clearly did not get the memo that Joe Biden treats all classified documents very seriously.
Not What We Expected
Now, to be fair, Durbin did try to temper his remarks at the very end.
After calling Biden out, he tried to say that Biden did much better than Trump, but that is hogwash.
Had a reporter not gotten wind of this story, we would never have known about it and Biden would still have classified documents at his home for Hunter to read during his visits.
Durbin stated, “Let’s be honest about it.
“When that information is found, it diminishes the stature of any person who has it because it’s not supposed to happen.
“Whether it was the fault of a staffer or an attorney, it makes no difference.
“The elected official bears ultimate responsibility.”
On receiving these documents, he added, “Well, I’m concerned. There’s a standard that we follow when it comes to members of Congress and classified information.
“The door to my office is closed.
“The person that presents the document to me takes it out of a locked briefcase, hands it to me and watches as I read it.
“When I finish reading it, he takes it back, puts it in the briefcase and leaves the scene.
“That’s how carefully we review these documents.
“To think that any of them ended up in boxes in storage one place or the other is just unacceptable.”
