If you listened to Democrats during the January 6 hearings, they made the QAnon Shaman out to be some sort of madman.
He was painted as a radical, but the Tucker Carlson unveiling of the January 6 footage changed that.
There were no aggressive videos of the Shaman, quite the opposite, actually.
The Shaman, whose real name is Jacob Chansley, was hoping to have his conviction overturned, but the judge was not buying it.
Not What It Seemed
There is no denying the fact that Chansley was inside the Capitol, but he was clearly not acting like a rioter.
He was seen asking officers for directions, and even being escorted to some areas by these officers.
In one snippet, he was actually hugging and thanking officers.
After the videos were released, Chansley, who had been sentenced to 41 months, was set free to a halfway house for the remainder of his sentence.
His effort to have the decision overturned, however, was unsuccessful.
U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth told Chansley that the video was actually more damaging than helpful.
He stated, “In fact, without Mr. Chansley’s apparently unequivocal acceptance of responsibility, the Court is confident that he would have received a higher sentence.”
So, Chansley will have to be happy with his accommodations at the halfway hours for the better part of the next three years.
