Six blue states have begun moving forward with plans to ban motorhomes in 2025 as part of their effort to appease the climate change cult.

RV Travel reports that California, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, and Washington state are moving to ban the sale of diesel-powered motorhomes next year unless they meet the zero-emission standard.
You’re not going to believe this
Democrats have just BANNED buying new motorhomes in multiple states starting January 1, 2025 to achieve their extreme environmental agenda:

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) amended its Advanced Clean Truck (ACT) regulations in October. This law aims to promote zero-emission vehicles and will require all vehicles in the state that are over 8,500 pounds to have zero emissions. Essentially, California is trying to force medium and heavy vehicle manufacturers to increase the percentage of zero-emission vehicles sold per year, as well as force these manufacturers to stop supplying chassis for internal combustion engines.
According to National Review, every state in the U.S. is regulated by the Clean Air Act, but they are also able to opt into the insane emissions standards set by California’s Advanced Clean Cars II program, where the rules are controlled by the CARB. This ridiculous program has the insane goal of all new motor homes and medium-duty trucks giving off zero emissions by 2035, though they plan to start the bans next year.
The states that follow California’s rules include the deep-blue states of Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington state — meaning that all six of these states will also be prohibiting sales of most diesel or even gas-powered motorhomes. Several other states are planning similar efforts, including Vermont, which has moved to implement a ban in 2026. Meanwhile, the same regulations will be implemented in 2027 in Colorado, Maryland, New Mexico, and Rhode Island.
Washington state’s trucking industry has reportedly been begging far-left Gov. Jay Inslee not to move forward with these plans because they will have serious consequences for the industry, according to The Center Square.
Pre-owned motorhomes have been exempted from these regulations. According to the RVIA fact sheet, “CARB said that a used vehicle, defined as one with more than 7,500 miles on the odometer, could be brought in and registered. Any motorhome with less than 7,500 miles would be considered a new vehicle and would have to be compliant in order to be registered.”
Meanwhile, despite the best efforts of the climate change cultists in these deep-blue states and in the Biden-Harris administration, many American auto manufacturers have actually scaled back their production of electric vehicles due to a lack of consumer demand for the often inefficient vehicles. Toyota’s North American Chief Operating Officer (COO) Jack Hollis deemed the radical left’s electric vehicle mandates and green energy restrictions on auto manufacturers to be “impossible” standards.
