Joe Biden can’t keep his grabby hands off your favorite light bulbs. Despite the fact this ban has been tried once before, and failed miserably, it’s about to be resurrected. Get ready to buy your incandescent ones on the black market again.

Light bulb ban is back

Stock up on your favorite forms of incandescent light bulbs while you still can. Joe Biden can’t seem to figure out why his approval rating is so low. His policies might have something to do with that.

His regime “is preparing to implement a sweeping nationwide ban on commonly used light bulbs as part of its energy efficiency and climate agenda.” He really wants to kill America as a nation.

The new regulations will “prohibit retailers from selling incandescent light bulbs” The same Department of Energy that hired serial luggage thief Sam Brinton to dispose of nuclear waste finalized the ban last year.

The regulations “are slated to go into effect on Aug. 1, 2023.” That’s when “the DOE will begin full enforcement of the ban.” You may have noticed that retailers have already stopped ordering them.

The nanny state is forcing you to use LED versions, even if they give you headaches cause other numerous discomforts and disadvantages.

Joe Biden is convinced Miami will be underwater unless the cops can come and confiscate your deadly incandescent bulbs. You really don’t need that dimmer control which won’t work with LEDs. Don’t even think about buying a gas stove, either. Or furnace.

More energy efficient

It’s one thing to make more efficient products available. The ones which actually work are embraced right away. The reason they have to ban ordinary light bulbs is because nobody likes the replacements.

The lighting industry is already embracing more energy efficient products, and this measure will accelerate progress to deliver the best products to American consumers and build a better and brighter future,” Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm insists. You’ll get used to them and love them if you like it or not because we’ll remove your alternative options.

The DOE swears up and down that “the regulations will save consumers an estimated $3 billion per year on utility bills and cut carbon emissions by 222 million metric tons over the next three decades.” They’re just annoying. Under the new rules, “incandescent and similar halogen light bulbs will be prohibited in favor of light-emitting diode, or LED, alternatives.

They’ve been around since 2015 but “fewer than half of households reported using mostly or exclusively LEDs, according to the most recent results from the Residential Energy Consumption Survey.

LED versions seem to be popular in liberal “higher-income households.” Unless you make $100,000 per year you’re probably using the old school ones. “While LEDs are more efficient and generally longer-lasting than incandescent bulbs, they currently cost more.

They’re also “inferior for certain functions such as dimming. Consumers are best served by retaining the choice between incandescent bulbs and LEDs rather than regulating incandescent bulbs off the market.” That recommendation was rejected and the ban is coming.
