It finally happened.
Truth Social has finally been approved in the Google Play store.
This is huge for Trump, as the app was on the verge of going belly-up by spring.
Time Running Out
Devin Nunes has been an utter failure in my eyes on this front.
The app was slow to hit the market, then when it did, it was only available on Apple.
About a month ago, the app was finally available on desktop.
Now it is finally available on Android.
Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC) had again delayed its funding vote, with the delay on Android being one of the reasons.
If Truth Social does not get the cash influx from DWAC by spring, there is little doubt it will have to shut down.
Hundreds of millions of dollars are tied up in this merger, with the vote having been rescheduled for November 3.
Now that the app has cleared that hurdle, it still has to clear the SEC investigation for possibly negotiating the merger before going public.
Investors may be more likely to back the app now that it has made it to Android, but we are still not sure it will be enough with the investigation outcome still looming.
