Another Leftist Media Personality Quits X After Trump Victory

Another Leftist Media Personality Jumps Off the Deep End Following Trump Victory

Radical leftist MSNBC host Joy Reid has joined several of her allies in quitting X as part of the left’s ongoing temper tantrum about President-elect Donald Trump’s victory.

While the official X profile for Reid’s MSNBC show “The ReidOut” is still apparently active as of Thursday evening, her personal X account has been deactivated.

Reid shared a video on her TikTok account explaining the decision to leave X.

“Today I finally did something I’ve been meaning to do for a while,” she said in the clip. “The reason for doing it, and kissing goodbye [to] my 1.9 million followers, is because I haven’t been posting for a long time. I just didn’t want to be contributing content once it was purchased by its present owner.”

Reid then claimed that she was fed up with the “negativity” on X — which is especially ironic considering her entire show is centered around screeching about how horrible half of America is and how Trump and his supporters are going to destroy “democracy.”

“Every so often, I would use it to just look at news that was trending and what’s happening and I would just use it as an aggregator, but I just realized that’s not really worth it,” Reid added. “Because in order to do the news aggregation and just look at all, you have to wade through a lot of dreck and just abuse and a lot of negativity, and it’s just not worth it.”

She is not the first on the left to flee X in response to Trump’s landslide victory. The radical leftist U.K.-based news outlet The Guardian announced in a post on X earlier this week that it would not be posting from its official accounts anymore, claiming that the platform was filled with “disturbing content.”

Disgraced former CNN host Don Lemon also shared a video on X explaining his decision to leave the platform, claiming that it is no longer a place for “honest” debate after Trump won the election.

“I once believed that it was a place for honest debate and discussion, transparency and free speech, but I now feel it does not serve that purpose,” Lemon said on Wednesday.

Democrat propaganda outlet NPR also hilariously left X after the platform placed a “US state-affiliated media” tag on its official profile last year.
