On Thursday, a decision by the Supreme Court infuriated liberals, including the Biden White House.
The court decided against the affirmative action admission policies that were put in place at Harvard.
Biden slammed the court on the decision, calling it not “normal,” but he made another announcement that is likely to upset liberals just as much as this court decision.
Not Healthy
Every time the left loses a decision at the Supreme Court level, they all talk about expanding the court to get a liberal majority.
Biden had entertained that idea during his presidential campaign.
He even had a so-called commission assembled to examine the pros and cons of such an expansion.
For the first time since taking office, Biden has finally taken a side in this fight, and it is not going to make the liberal horde happy.
He stated, “Well, I think they may do too much harm, but I think if we start the process of trying to expand the court, we’re going to politicize it maybe forever in a way that is not healthy, that you can’t get back.
“And I think, look, I think maybe it’s just the optimist in me.
“I think that some of the court are beginning to realize their legitimacy is being questioned in ways that had not been questioned in the past.”
His words are amusing because Biden has politicized the court like no president in history.
He has led the attacks, slamming the court every time a decision comes down that does not benefit the left.
I have stated many times that this court has disappointed me in many cases, but I have also stated that I believe it is the most balanced court, even with a 6-3 conservative majority, that we have seen in decades.
I have lost count of how many times conservative justices have not only crossed the aisle, but have handed liberals a win in a case where conservatives expected to win.
I don’t have to like a decision to respect it, but Democrats and liberals generally do not see things that way when it comes to the Supreme Court.
We can use the recent affirmative action case as a perfect example, with the liberal horde now likening the conservative members of the court to Klan members.
Go back and look at how many times liberal members of the court have sided with conservatives on a controversial issue, and you will see what I mean.
They NEVER cross the aisle, whereas Justices Roberts, Kavanaugh, Barrett, and Gorsuch have done so regularly.
Ironically, it is the three justices that Democrats and liberals have complained the most about that have handed them unexpected wins.
