A horrific incident in Philadelphia was caught on camera where a 73-year-old elderly man died after being beaten with a traffic cone. The culprits are a group of teens prowling the streets.
Police say that James Lambert, died after he was attacked and beaten with a traffic cone at about 2:38 a.m. on June 24.
Philadephia Police Department told the local news, NBC10, that the victim was walking across Cecil B Moore Avenue near North 21st Street in the early morning hours on Friday, June 24, when he was ambushed by seven menacing teenagers who attacked the elderly without any warning.
The group responsible for the attack was made up of 4 boys and 3 girls and ranged somewhere between “13 to 17, says the police.

The video shared by police shows one teen attacking Lambert as he tried to walk away from the group to the other side of the street. Seconds later, another teen is seen throwing a traffic cone at Lambert. The victim is then chased by another teen with a traffic cone over his head.
“The teens struck the victim several times with objects, knocking the victim to the ground, causing injuries to his head. The victim was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries the following day,” Police said.
This is James “Simmie” Lambert, the man who was killed.

Police are offering a $20,000 reward for anyone who has information that will lead to an arrest and conviction for this homicide.
