The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) employee fired for telling workers to “avoid” Trump-supporting homes has come out with a bombshell: she was not the only one giving these shocking directives.
Marn’i Washington was fired from FEMA earlier this week after a report from The Daily Wire revealed that she had ordered disaster relief workers in Florida to “avoid homes” that have signs “advertising” President Donald Trump.

Now, Washington is speaking out — revealing that FEMA actually has a widespread policy of avoiding what they deem “politically hostile” homes.
FEMA claimed while firing Washington that she had made an independent decision to avoid the homes of Trump supporters, but she disputed that claim during an interview with Roland Martin — asserting that it was not an “isolated” incident and is actually agency policy.
“FEMA always preaches avoidance first and then de-escalation, so this is not isolated,” Washington said. “This is a colossal event of avoidance not just in the state of Florida, but you will find avoidance in the Carolinas.”
“Senior leadership will lie to you and tell you that they do not know,” she added.
Her allegations directly contradict a statement sent from FEMA to The Daily Wire on Friday, which read: “The employee who issued this guidance had no authority and was given no direction to tell teams to avoid these homes and we are reaching out to the people who may have not been reached as a result of this incident.”
Meanwhile, Washington told Martin that incident reports supposedly substantiate incidents of avoidance because of “political hostility” — claiming that there was a “community trend” of “hostility” from Trump supporters in Lake Placid, Florida.

The ridiculous examples she gave of this so-called “hostility” included people simply criticizing FEMA or the Biden-Harris administration, such as “I don’t like FEMA,” “You’re part of the Biden-Harris campaign,” “You guys are lying to people,” and “You’re not helping people.” Apparently, to FEMA, mild criticism is enough to avoid helping Trump supporters who have just experienced a natural disaster and likely lost nearly everything they own.
“FEMA’s very well aware of the incidents that take place, not just with my crew, but with all the crews in the states,” Washington claimed.
She even had proof of FEMA leadership accepting the decision to refuse to help Trump supporters, showing a text message she allegedly sent to a supervisor informing them that one road was “politically hostile” and “we are not canvassing this street further.” In response, the supervisor allegedly wrote: “Great decision. Thanks for the update.”

FEMA is now facing investigations at both the state and federal level over its policies for providing aid — with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) office demanding that President Joe Biden, FEMA, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) take “immediate steps” to preserve all records and documents related to the incident, which includes communications between FEMA, DHS, and other federal agencies that “could provide evidence of partisan bias in the denial of disaster benefits.”
