Governors Vow to Fight Biden’s Latest Dictator Measures [Info]

Multiple Republican Governors have responded to the authoritarian power-grab of the Biden-Harris regime with stern warnings of non-compliance and legal challenges to the new round of private-sector vaccine mandates to be initiated by the Occupational Health and Saftey Administration or OSHA. During a press conference on Sept. 9th Biden told the nation, “If they’ll not help — if these governors won’t help us beat the pandemic, I’ll use my power as President to get them out of the way. ” The GOP leaders are responding to Biden’s thinly veiled threats with defiance and resolve, they will not be cast aside so easily.

Republican States Rising Up With Legal Challenges, Defiant Governors

As left-leaning attorneys and special interest groups weigh in on Biden’s unconstitutional power grab, claiming that it thinly lies within the White House’s regulatory abilities (an argument that holds precisely zero value), the question doesn’t lie with whether or not the Government possesses the power to mandate vaccination if a vaccine is safe and proven.

Fortunately,  Jacobson v. Massachusetts, (197 U.S. 11) sets a legal standard that “We are not inclined to hold that the statute establishes the absolute rule that an adult must be vaccinated if it be apparent or can be shown with reasonable certainty that he is not at the time a fit subject of vaccination or that vaccination, by reason of his then condition, would seriously impair his health or probably cause his death.” Therefore, under the ruling of Justice John Marshall Harlan, if a person has “reasonable certainty” that the vaccine would impair their health or cause death, then they cannot be compelled.

Republican Governors like Texas’ Greg Abbott, South Dakota’s Kristi Noem, Wyoming’s Mark Gordon, and even Arizona’s Doug Ducey and Georgia’s Brian Kemp are all on the same page with this one: it’s an unacceptable overreach.

In an official statement, Gov. Ducey wrote,

“The president said yesterday that he will use his powers to get Republican governors ‘out of the way.’ No, Mr. President, the American people need you to get a grip. Forty-nine years in Washington have left you divorced from reality. And unfortunately for us, almost five decades of supposed on-the-job training haven’t worked out. We were promised competence, and instead, we’ve gotten the catastrophe in Afghanistan. The worst border crisis in over two decades. Total disregard for the Constitution. Rising prices and a plummeting rate of vaccinations.

“Biden and his belief that he has endless power over the American people will not go unchecked. We will make sure of it. We will pursue every legal and administrative option to make sure that President Biden doesn’t cause permanent damage to the United States economy and our individual freedoms.”
