After nine years of hosting “Meet the Press”, Chuck Todd has officially stepped down from his role. Known to be well-loved by liberals and loathed by conservatives, Todd passed the baton to a successor on his last episode on Sunday, September 10.
His successor is Kristen Welker, NBC’s White House correspondent.
Conservatives aren’t sorry to see him go as they feel he has taken a leftist stance on issues while firmly attacking Republicans – particularly former President Donald Trump and his administration.

Chuck Todd is the worst host ever for Meet The Press. I do thank him for being the first person to open my eyes to media bias. I hadn’t noticed it until he took over for Tim Russert. https://t.co/Ijz9EJR3a0

Chuck Todd was the ninth host of Meet The Press since its premiere in 1947.
He joined NBC News in 2007 as political director and began hosting “Meet The Press” in 2014 after serving as chief White House correspondent for four years prior.
Since then he has made some controversial statements about politics that have landed him praise from liberals but criticism from conservatives – particularly those who supported former President Trump.
Chuck Todd is finally leaving NBC's Meet The Press after nearly a decade of campaigning for Democrats and promoting a radical left-wing agenda.
Here's a look back at some of his worst moments

Todd’s swan song Sunday was met with harsh criticism from the right who’ve watched him over the years, not only expressing their displeasure with his departure but also emphasizing that they felt he didn’t deserve a proper farewell present due to his actions during his time at Meet The Press.
To add fuel to this fire, one of Todd’s final interviews was with California Governor Gavin Newsom which served more like an opportunity for Newsom to campaign for President Joe Biden than an interview itself.
Newsom stated “…I think we need to move past this notion that [Biden]’s not going to run, President Biden is going to run and I’m looking forward to getting him re-elected”.
This further exemplified why many consider Chuck Todd a left-leaning journalist rather than an unbiased reporter just trying to get information out there objectively.
Now enter Kristen Welker; NBC’s White House Correspondent and now new host of “Meet The Press”.
During her sendoff interview with Chuck Todd she expressed her appreciation for all he had done for her throughout their time together saying “You are someone who invests in the people that you care about…you brought me to D.C., you taught me just about everything I know about politics”.
This could be seen not only as an expression of gratitude but also some insight into how she plans on running things when she takes over full control, which could mean significantly different content than viewers saw while watching under Todd’s tenure.
