A very prominent member of the LGBTQ+ community has been arrested.
Efrem Zelony-Mindell was taken into custody.
He was charged with attempted enticement of a minor and possession and distribution of child pornography.
Zelony-Mindell is 35 years old.

U.S. attorney Damian Williams “Zelony-Mindell allegedly attempted to engage in sexual activity with a nine-year-old boy.
“The protection of children from predation remains of critical importance to this Office, and we will continue to use our resources and work with our law enforcement partners to bring offenders to justice.”
The statement by the undercover agent posing as a broker to secure the services of the child stated that he had made it clear “in graphic and unambiguous terms, his desire to engage in sexual activity with minor children.”
Zelony-Mindell thought he was meeting someone that was going to take him to a 9-year-old little boy who had been drugged.
Instead, he met with the FBI agent that had been posing as the broker and was arrested.
If he is found guilty, he faces 20 years for each child pornography charge.
Zelony-Mindell has a very well-known LGBTQ+ non-binary queer activist who has spoken all over the country and many of our universities and colleges.
At a time when that community is under the microscope for grooming and luring in young children, this will surely not help their cause.
