It’s no secret that the left has been out to get Donald Trump since his election in 2016. They’ve attempted to discredit him with false accusations, baseless claims, and a relentless smear campaign – but now they are aiming their sights at something more personal: his marriage. Reports have surfaced that suggest the former First Lady, Melania Trump, is planning an exit strategy from her husband as he grapples with criminal indictments. But is this true?

PR Expert Jane Owen believes that it may be time for Melania to distance herself from her husband. “If I was Melanie’s friend or her publicist I would be advising her to keep her distance as well,” she says. “The easiest thing to justify is the lack of something.” However, Owens does assume that things will get worse for the former President before they get better – leaving some to wonder if she should plan an “escape route” from the whole situation.

But other reports paint a different picture entirely. An April report suggests that Melania has stood by Donald throughout his legal woes, proving to be a “secret weapon”. This has led many to believe that any calls for divorce will only serve as fuel on the fire, strengthening their commitment instead of weakening it. It appears clear then, despite what some might want us to think, there is no evidence of any kind suggesting Melania plans on leaving Donald anytime soon.

At its core, marriage should never be seen as a tool or weapon meant for personal or political gain; yet this seems to be exactly what’s happening here. The idea of using divorce as a means of attacking someone politically should stand condemned by all sides; no one should ever have their private life used against them in such a way – regardless of who they are or what side they represent politically.

Marriage isn’t something that can (or should) simply be dismissed when times get tough; it requires dedication and hard work during both good times and bad in order for it to survive long-term success – something which Melania clearly understands and respects regardless of what others might think or say about her relationship with Donald Trump.
