Off-Duty FBI Agent Gets Involved In Freeway GUN BATTLE

Some fresh details are coming out about an off-duty FBI agent from the D.C. branch who was involved in a road rage shooting. It happened along the 295 freeway back on August 27. The dangerous altercation started on Saturday afternoon near Kenilworth Avenue.

FBI agent’s side of the story

According to what the unnamed agent with the FBI main office told local police, “he was traveling on D.C. 295 when another car crashed into his.” It didn’t stop, so the off-duty agent followed in hot pursuit.

Right about then, “the driver of the suspect vehicle shot at the officer’s car several times.” The agent kept right along.

As they whizzed past Nannie Hellen Burroughs Avenue, “the driver of the suspect vehicle fired again” and the FBI agent fired back. There weren’t any reports of innocent bystanders blasted by stray bullets.

That’s when the agent decided to call off the chase. “The suspect vehicle continued to travel northbound on D.C. 295, while the off-duty FBI Police officer remained on the scene. The officer said there were four people in the suspect vehicle.

No one was hurt but there was damage to the FBI agent’s vehicle. All four occupants of the suspect vehicle got away but that didn’t stop police from charging the driver on “assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to bodily harm and leaving after colliding.

The car will probably turn out to be stolen. Unless someone who knows the culprits turns them in, they’ll never be heard from again. “D.C. police are looking for the person who shot at the officer’s car.” They really don’t expect to find him.

Not Trump related

The FBI is already keyed up to high anxiety since they’ve all been getting death threats. Raiding Donald Trump’s Florida estate wasn’t real good for the bureau public image. District residents aren’t happy since their investigation shut down a major metro artery practically all day on Saturday.

Nobody could get through from Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast and Burroughs Avenue Northeast “for about six hours.

The bureau’s Inspection Division “continues to review the actions of the FBI Police officer involved in a shooting on I-295 in Washington, D.C., on August 27, 2022.

The DC Metropolitan Police Department is leading the overarching investigation of the incident, with the assistance of the FBI Washington Field Office’s Violent Crimes Task Force. Further inquiries about the incident should be directed to MPD,” the bureau notes in a statement issued Sunday.

Christopher Wray and Merrick Garland are doing their best to assure anxious FBI agents that they’ll be protected from the deplorable mobs of Trump supporters who want to rip them limb-from-limb for raiding Mar-a-Lago.

That looks especially bad because the top bureau officials specifically ordered that Hunter Biden and his slimy laptop remain in quarantine as “Russian disinformation,” where it sits to this day.
