Supreme Court Justice Writes Seven Page Baby-Killing Rant

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor writes a seven-page pro-baby-killing rant.  She states that it’s “catastrophic” Texas’s abortion ban law will not be stopped by the court.

The Texas abortion ban law, or Senate Bill 8 (SB 8), makes abortion illegal after a fetal heartbeat can be detected. A heartbeat can usually be detected by 6 weeks of pregnancy. SB 8 also empowers private citizens to sue anyone providing an abortion when a heartbeat is detected.

For the Pro-life movement, this bill is an incredible victory. Thousands of lives have been, and will be, saved due to this legislation. The Bill also gives fathers a voice. The feminist movement would largely have us believe that the Father of a child has no say in what happens. “My body, my choice” they chant. But abortion ripples out affecting all involved not just the mother.

By allowing private citizens to sue abortion providers it allows the father some restitution in the murder of his child. Don’t believe the lies though, this bill does not allow for lawsuits against the mothers. Those rumors are lies.

What the Supreme Court Justice Wrote

Sotomayor wrote in her seven-page rant against her conservative counterparts that the court “cannot capture the totality of this harm in these pages.”

“But as these excerpts illustrate, the State has so thoroughly chilled the exercise of the right recognized in Roe as to nearly suspend it within its borders and strain access to it in other States,” She wrote. “The State’s gambit has worked. The impact is catastrophic.”

“None of this is seriously in dispute. These circumstances are exceptional. Women seeking abortion care in Texas are entitled to relief from this Court now,” Sotomayor added. “Because of the Court’s failure to act today, that relief, if it comes, will be too late for many.”

What’s Really Going On?

Last week the Court agreed to hear cases filed against SB 8. This opens a whole can of worms for the Pro-choice movement, as Texas goes after the legality of Roe V Wade. Texas argues in briefs filed before the Supreme Court that the court must reconsider the legality and the constitutionality of Roe. In 1973 the court used Roe to strike down abortion laws in all 50 states.

Texas abortion providers, and their supporters, filed an appeal for the Court to hear their arguments against SB 8 in September. In response, Texas officials argued that the 5th circuit of appeals is due to hear arguments next month.

The Department of Justice under Biden has also gotten involved. The DOJ has filed a suit against Texas and has asked the High Court to abandon the lower court’s ruling that allows the law to stay in effect while being litigated.

Texas officials’ response was that the DOJ has no standing in the outcome that allows for their lawsuits. “The federal government cannot get an abortion, and the Constitution does not assign it any special role to protect any putative right to abortion,” argued Texas Officials.
