Woman Asked to Leave For Being ‘Practically Naked’ But Was She Really?

While out shopping, this woman was confronted at a supermarket and asked to leave by an employee due to being “basically naked.” However, the woman claims she was dressed appropriately…the incident has left the internet torn over who was in the right.

The right to dress as we choose has become a hot debate topic among internet users. A recent incident at a supermarket in the United Kingdom has only exacerbated this already heated discussion. 22-year-old Jaiah Fern was approached by an employee who appeared visibly upset and told her that he wasn’t “allowed” to have a girlfriend because of his immigration status.

The altercation was captured on video and it quickly went viral, prompting Asda (the company the employee worked for) to investigate the matter.

The video starts with the employee wearing an Asda jacket telling Jaiah that she is not allowed to wear what she has on because it’s against their rules. She asks him what he is talking about and he responds saying that “he knows the rules” before walking away to report her attire.

In response, Jaiah turns the camera towards herself, giving viewers an up close look at what she was wearing: a cropped tank top paired with matching sweatpants and an open jacket. She then calls out for a manager before ending the video abruptly.

It appears from this footage that Jaiah had done nothing wrong according to Asda’s policy as they confirmed in their statement following her post going viral online.

The internet remains divided over how this situation should have been handled – some supporting Jaiah’s decision while others siding with the employee believing he did what he could within reason given his position in the company.

No matter which side of the argument people are on though, it still sparks conversation around one individual’s right to express themselves through fashion versus public decency standards being upheld in family oriented businesses like supermarkets.
