After gleefully celebrating breaking the law to count illegal ballots, a Pennsylvania Democrat official is desperately trying to apologize in order to protect her job.
Bucks County commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia openly flouted election law last week, stating that “we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country, and people violate laws any time they want.” Her comments came after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court explicitly barred election officials from counting ballots without proper dates or signatures, a ruling that she ignored because she wanted to find more Democrat votes.
Her comment came in response to the only Republican on the three-person Bucks County panel, Gene DiGirolamo, introducing a motion to reject the Democrats’ attempt to count “noncompliant” ballots.
“Not going to second that, mostly because I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter in this country and people violate laws any time they want,” Ellis-Marseglia said. “So for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want the court to pay attention to it.”

She faced significant backlash, but initially refused to apologize and continued to count illegal ballots until the Pennsylvania Supreme Court stepped in and warned officials that their ruling still stands.
Now, as she is facing calls for her resignation and even calls for her arrest, Ellis-Marseglia is desperately trying to apologize for her actions.
During a heated county meeting on Wednesday where she was excoriated by voters, Ellis-Marseglia desperately pleaded with voters, stating: “The passion in my heart got the best of me and I apologize again for that.”
“I made a mistake, and because I am an elected official, I am held to a far higher standard than everybody else,” she added. “So, to the citizens I serve, I apologize, and I will continue to work hard for you and endeavor to not make such a mistake again.”
Diane Ellis-Marseglia, Bucks County, PA, who said she will violate the law and count illegal ballots, now, nearly in tears, says she made a mistake.

Unfortunately for Ellis-Marseglia, her repeated apologies largely fell on deaf ears — with members of the crowd in the packed room shouting “liar” and “resign.”
Numerous members of the public stepped forward to berate the Democrat official, demanding that she resign from her position, vowing to vote her out in her next election, and even threatening to sue her.
One of the attendees was conservative activist Scott Presler, who was responsible for a massive get-out-the-vote campaign in the 2024 election season.
“I have a message, peacefully, we are coming for your seat in 2027 if you don’t resign today,” Presler told Ellis-Marseglia during the public comment portion of the hearing. “I am coming for your seat.”

We refuse to sit idly by while the Democrats try to rig our elections in an attempt to cling to power.
