Melania Trump has broken her silence to speak out about the deaths of U.S. soldiers in the horrific terrorist attack outside of the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The former first lady, who has not sent out a tweet since the Fourth of July, when she wished everyone “a safe and happy Independence Day,” finally broke her silence to mourn the loss of American soldiers in Afghanistan.
The Attack
At least one suicide bombing took place outside of Kabul’s airport on the morning of August 26th, though sources are conflicted on the number of attacks.
According to reporting from the New York Post, “The first explosion occurred outside Hamid Karzai International Airport’s Abbey Gate, the airfield’s main entrance gate, when a bomber reportedly detonated a suicide vest — just hours after an ISIS terror attack warning was issued. A second blast was reported soon after outside the nearby Baron Hotel in what the Pentagon is describing as a ‘complex attack.’”
Thirteen U.S. soldiers were killed during the attack, including ten Marines.
