Pedophile Released From Prison For This Stupid Reason

You would think after raping and murdering a 22 month old baby a Pedophile would spend the rest of his days behind bars, but not so in the case of Douglas Wade.

Douglas Wade brutally raped and murdered his girlfriend’s 22-month-old daughter while she stepped out to the grocery store, local 9 News reports. The victim’s mother, who remains unnamed, only had one wish – to see her baby’s killer die in prison. But now she will have to face the world knowing the monster who attacked her daughter is out of prison. Why? Because Douglas Wade hadn’t committed a serious offense behind bars according to the State Parole Authority.

“It was my baby, I trusted him,” she said. “I was only gone for like 20 minutes. He did what he did in 20 minutes and I feel guilty for leaving her with him – I didn’t know he was going to do that.”

Wade was found guilty of the rape and murder of the baby, even though he never admitted that he sexually assaulted the child. He was sentenced to 36 years in prison.

Thanks to a parole board’s recommendation, Wade’s sentence has been cut short. He has been approved for early release. Despite still having 4 years left on his sentence, Parole Board agreed he could be released early, basically for good behavior.

“I mean duh. How many 20-month-old babies are there in Long Bay Jail?” victims’ advocate Howard Brown told The Daily Telegraph. “What kind of offenses could he commit?”

The Board states that Wade is at a low risk of re-offending, which was the leading factor in reducing his original sentence from 36 years to a 26-year non-parole period. Which meant he could be released immediately.

The Baby Wade raped died from internal bleeding and hemorrhaging due to her small intestines, liver, and colon being perforated during the sex act. He still denies the sexual assault of the 22-month old which raises major red flags when he is unable to feel remorse for the heinous act he committed and worries other parole officers that he may attack again.

“Nowhere is there any suggestion that the offender is likely to change,” the SPA said. “The present state of affairs seems likely to remain until the offender is released, whether that happens on expiry of the sentence or at some earlier time.”

The court heard that Wade intended to clear his name, just a few years before his release. After several decades in prison, he still insisted that he had accidentally killed the child. You see he  “lashed out” because she had “annoyed him.” Downplaying his sexual act he instead wants the world to know him as a child murderer with a hot temper. Barrister Jillian Caldwell expressed her disagreement with the board’s decision.

“Mr Wade’s lack of understanding of what triggered his violent conduct … is one of the most troubling features of this case,” she said.

Victim’s advocate Howard Brown insists that Wade still poses a threat to the public. His release is just too risky. He explained in a statement that Wade will be living at his sister’s property. A property that is in an area that offers him easy access to children.

“My concern is not so much around the children on the property, because I think the family are smart enough to ensure that their children are never left alone with Mr Wade,” he said. “My concern relates to other properties in the area. These young children will be standing at the farm gate waiting for the school bus to pick them up. They’ll be waiting at the front gate, unaccompanied, unsupervised.
