Smears

EVIL, VILE, Democrats Change Rules to Allow Smears against Trump

It’s unprecedented, its evil and its vile, but Members of Congress under Speaker Pelosi are now permitted use disgusting smears ONLY the President of the United States… officially. The US House of Representatives has ‘temporarily’ suspended their rules of decorum regarding “prohibition of personality” which doesn’t allow attacks on a specific person. But this change ONLY applies to President Donald J. Trump  during Congress’ debate on their Resolutions to urge VP Pence to use the 25th Amendment and the Impeachment of President Trump.

Newly minted Congresswoman Cori Bush (D-MO) began started the decline of Congressional decorum by using the phrase “white supremacist” to describe the 45th President and his followers 3 times in 30 seconds. Bush called President Trump the “white supremacist-in-chief”, and a “white supremacist President who incited a white supremacist insurrection”.

"

Rep. Cori Bush is also has also gained infamy among the right by calling for perhaps the most dangerous leglislation before Congress in 2021, a resolution to expel all 138 Congressmen & women who supported the constitutional objection to the 2021 electoral college votes.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) wasn’t far behind labeling President Trump as the “Racist-in-Chief” also taking aim at her congressional peers who have called for investigation into the massive irregularities and credible accusations of electoral fraud. According to NBC Tlaib said,

“THANK YOU, MADAM SPEAKER. IN MICHIGAN’S 13th WE PROUDLY SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER, EVEN IN THE FACE OF A RACIST IN CHIEF. THOSE WHO INCITED AN ATTACK ON THE PEOPLE’S HOUSE DO NOT GET TO TALK ABOUT HEALING AND UNITY. THEY HAVE TORN THIS COUNTRY APART. THEY HAVE STOKED THE FIRE AND THEN HANDED THE GASOLINE TO DONALD TRUMP.”

How Can Congress Allow These Smears?

According to Breitbart,

“Normally, such language is prohibited by House rules. But House Democrats passed a temporary rule change on Tuesday that applies to debate on H. Res. 21 and H. Res. 24. The former urged Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump (which he declined to do); the latter is the article of impeachment against President Trump.

The rule change “Provides that the prohibition against personality in debate with respect to references to the President shall not apply during consideration of H. Res. 21 or any special order of business providing for the consideration of H. Res. 24.”

As you would expect, the Democrats in Congress aren’t committed to necessarily impeaching President Trump as the trial’s fate in the senate is questionable at best with Senate Maj. Leader McConnell sending mixed signals through the press. The goal here is for smears like these to make this as ugly a humanly possible for the Republicans and President Trump, should the Democrats continue on this course, it will serve only to further inflame tensions and set the stage for another potential incident or conflict.
